Here is what I've learned on my journey:
We've been taught to be afraid of the future, to expect the worst. There could be a bomb, or “the” bomb. (We need armed forces!) Or illness. (We need insurance!) Or divorce. (We need a pre-nup!) Or job loss. (Save up!) Or death itself. (Fear it!) We embody our fears in various ways—it’s our birthright. And it’s not our fault. But what if the perceived negatives are actually an opportunity? Seeing life in that way, and seeing myself as a co-creator of my life experience, including crises, is the foundation of who I am--and what I teach. Opportunities abound—let’s get excited about them! Sometimes they are unexpected and don’t feel good. Am I seriously saying let’s get excited about “bad” things? Yes! Let’s celebrate! Let’s look them in the face (since they are already staring us down) and say “Hi, yes, I can do this, I can meet you fearlessly.” My spiritual journey is impossible to separate from my daily life. Each waking breath is part of my spiritual journey, and although I invest time each morning doing a "spiritual practice," my daily life is spiritual practice as well--which doesn't mean that it's not fun and even irreverent. Yoga has been a gift in my life for 25 years. I fell in love with yoga after my first class with Devarshi Steven Hartman in 1992, who was at that time a Kripalu yoga teacher in Chicago. Since there is no way of knowing what's going to happen in the future, what if we could embrace the idea that we can CREATE what's going to happen? What if? What if we all held the highest possible vision for our planet? What if the old way, the old duality, is dying? What if what lives Here, Now is a new way, a new Age, a Heaven on Earth in which we recognize ourselves as co-creators of our experience? An age in which we recognize the Divine in everyone we meet, in everything we do? Like you, I am a Divine Human, here to guide others into the age of enlightenment…which is fast approaching. We are very, very powerful; don't let our parents' parents' pasts fool you. They didn't realize they were creators, and thus they were victims. They didn't realize that, when united, they actually already WERE just what they were looking for in a GodFigure. So are we. We are the ones. We are our own soul mate. We are our own Savior. "God" is within us, flowing and glowing through us, and when we stop looking externally and start tuning in internally, we know that as Truth.
Imagine you were going into uncharted territory, like a pioneer, going into a place where your old resources of coping will no longer serve you. (Would it matter at all whether you can start a fire with two sticks? Nope. Not at all. And that used to be a prized skill.) Well, our present resources are kind of like that: fear, caution, deferring to external authority--the things that kept us in line in previous generations, will not serve us in what is quickly becoming the New Age. I have spent my adult life gathering the tools and the insights needed as humanity moves collectively into the future. I love being on the edge, being a pioneer of what's to come. Heaven on Earth. The supposed crisis (fear it!) of 2012 was actually a blossoming of humanity. The old—external authority—will indeed die off when humanity starts to awaken to the truth that WE are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
So breathe in the best, happiest energy available in any given moment because that's what's going to be circulating back to you; what goes around, comes around—so let's choose to create our future while basking in that higher vibration. As Divine Humans let's create from the highest, most joyful, most conscious place we have access to at any given moment. Now is the time.
